Abstract

We are writing to comment on a recent publication in the Journal entitled “Consumption of monosodium glutamate in relation to incidence of overweight in Chinese adults: China Health and Nutrition Survey (CHNS)” by He et al (1). We wish to call to your attention that some sections of this article are inadequately described, unclear, or questionable. Because these involve essential aspects of the study design and methods, they need clarification for proper interpretation of the results.
