Abstract

Objective To realize the determinants of self-rated health(SRH)among the elderly and their influencing extents.Methods China Health and Nutrition Survey(2006)was used to analyze the determinants and compare the extent of each factor through ordinal logistic regress model.Results Age,education,martial status,objective body and psychologic health had great effects on SRH of the elderly(P0.05),thereinto,the memory and living feeling were the maximal influence factors,their OR value reached to 5.44 and 4.85.In addition,the elderly could or could not deal with ADL and IADL by themselves,whether suffering from serious illness recently also affected the SRH.Conclusion ①The social-demographic variables have affections on SRH of the elderly,people who are older,received more education and living with spouse have more positive SRH.②The SRH of elderly is effected by body and psychological health,especially the latter.③The daily behaviors of old person also have a certain impact to their SRH.Appropriate smoking,drinking and doing some exercise have promotion to the health of the elderly.
